Technical Report

As we gradually move towards the end of Term 3, players had another solid week of training completing all the planned sessions. It is not too long before we kick off our busy and exciting summer schedule starting with our school holiday clinics and the Saturday afternoon Mini Soccer Cup. The physiological systems of our players can be trained at any age, although there are sensitive periods when individual players are especially responsive to specific types of training. The entire period of childhood can be viewed as a sensitive period for mastering fundamental movement skills. When planning for training we consider the demands of school including academic loads and duties, school related stress and the timing of exams. We therefore make sure the curriculum and schedule complement, not conflict, with the timing of major school events. Our players have mostly embraced this great opportunity to better themselves and are continuing to grow and mature during this sensitive period of their development. The Golden age of learning!!

See you on the field!
